What does Self-Examining Authority mean at Florida Flyers Flight Academy?

Self-Examining Authority means, that at Florida Flyers Flight Academy the Chief Flight Instructor will conduct the End-Of-Course Checks and then the FAA Pilot Certificate or FAA Pilot License will be issued right away instead of waiting for an external Pilot Examiner (DPE). Florida Flyers holds Self-Examining-Authority for its FAR Part 141 approved Private Pilot Course and Instrument Rating Course. After successful graduation from these courses, the FAA Pilot License and/or Certificate will be issued right away inhouse.
