Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority is the National Aviation Authority Of Rwanda. The civil aviation authority oversees the safety and security of civil aviation traffic. It keeps up with the SARPs (Standards and Recommended Practices) provisioned by the Convention on International Civil Aviation Organization. It is responsible for the economic regulation and development of civil air services in Rwanda. Civil Aviation Authority was created under law No. 21/2004 of 10/08/2004 to replace the Rwanda Airport Authority as the body responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining the airport structure. In 2006, the law was revised to form the Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA).
