Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) is the government body overseeing civil aviation oversight in Qatar. QCAA regulates the aviation industry in Qatar, including all aircraft, airplanes, and pilots. The National Aviation Authority Of Qatar oversees the regulation and development of all services related to the safety of civil air traffic. It maintains the air navigational systems and all airport projects. Qatar Civil Aviation Authority also helped establish the national carrier, Qatar Airways. The QCAA has five departments: the Air Safety Department, the Air Navigation Department, the Department of Air Transportation and Airport Affairs, the Joint Services Department, and the Meteorology Department.
