Trafi, short for The Finnish Transport Safety Agency, is the National Aviation Authority Of Finland. It is called Liikenteen turvallisuusvirasto in the native language. This Finnish government agency oversees the safety of the Finnish air traffic and transport system. Earlier, it was under the jurisdiction of Finland’s Ministry of Transport and Communications. But, on 1 January 2019, the Ministry of Transport and Communications merged with the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority and Finnish Transport Agency to form the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom. It oversees the aviation industry in Finland.
